About Ethik Worldwide
Ethik Worldwide is a clothing brand, emerged from the famed Lower East Side of NYC in 2010. From the cities to the seas, Ethik has ever-embraced the passions and aspirations of the next generation through music, sports and culture.
In May 2021, I was brought on as in retail sales for the brand in their flagship location on South Street in Philadelphia. Due to a poor managing situation, I was quickly promoted by the owner and took over the role of Manager.


My Role as Flagship Location Manager
When I took on the position of Manager, I was the only employee, working alone for 8 to 10 hour shifts everyday for the first few weeks. I took on managing duties such as:
- Tracking financial records
- Managing inventory
- In-store marketing
- Customer service
- Overall upkeep of the store
This all in the midst of another wave of the Covid-19 pandemic and coming off the lowest sales in months.
After just a couple weeks, the store was seeing a drastic turn around. I had tracked the trending of the merchandise and marketed the products that appealed to customers. I then onboarded a growing staff and was personally training in retail sales and customer service skills while upholding the brand of the store. This ultimately turned into a sales boost of over 60% and the store saw consistent margins similar to those before the pandemic. The sales continued to grow until my departure.

Through this experience I was able to grow my skills in retail and customer service, while obtaining new management skills through taking on responsibilities. I maintained strong relationships with my superior executives, as well as my team of sales associates to work together to achieve our goal.
